Helping families raise children between two homes

Intervention Between Two Homes
Working with Families in Transition
A Workshop for Mental Health Professionals

Interventions and tools for working with families raising children between two homes due to separation, divorce, or other family circumstances.

Professionals in the mental health field commonly deal with children and families in crisis. With over half of all marriages in the United States ending in divorce, mental health professionals frequently find themselves involved in these complex family structures. Well meaning professionals can be negatively impacted by this involvement if they are unaware of the specialized issues that come with the dynamics of these families and the potential Court interaction. Worse yet, this involvement can not only have long term damaging effects on your professional credibility, but as well on these children and their families.

This 6 hour seminar presented by Bradley S. Craig, LMSW, CFLE offers participants the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the higher standard of practice involved in working with these families while learning about current research and knowledge regarding two homes issues, the Early Moral Forger, professional boundaries, and Parental Alienation. Options will also be presented on resources available to these families. Lauren Duffer, Attorney at Law, will also be present to address the attorney perspective of interventions with these family, answer questions, and detail the family court responses to mental health professionals working with these families.

Understand how maintaining an informed, up to date, and ethical practice can prevent the common mistakes seen regularly in work with these family structures and in the Family Courts. Learn from professionals who have hundreds of hours of courtroom time and years of experience in working with these families.
