Educator's Series
The Educator's Series is designed to benefit teachers, counselors, principals and parents. Fees are due on arrival and may be paid by cash or check. Educators may receive six hours CEU credit for each session. Preregistration is required for the Educator's Series.
Part I : The Effects of Divorce on Children
This class focuses on the emotional and behavioral issues related
to conflict. Topics covered include:
- Changes in classroom behavior
- Five stages of grief
- Effects of divorce related to developmental stages
- Teachers and the courtroom
- Things to be aware of with children experiencing divorce
Part II: Teachers in the Family Court System
This class focuses on the educator's role in the Family Court
System. Topics covered include:
- Defining family court litigation
- The family court system process and participants
- Ethics and the non-biased attitude
- Protecting yourself if called to testify
